Jesus, He Must Suffer Many Things (Matthew 16:21-28)

Phill Howell, August 25, 2019
Part of the The Gospel According to Matthew series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This message is the second of two stories in Matthew's gospel that are put side by side in order to teach us about the kingdom of God. The first story teaches us about who is the king. This story teaches us what kind of kingdom he is establishing on the earth. In this message we first consider the way the disciples would have understood these words of Jesus. Then we apply those words to our world.
