Statement of Faith

We believe that God, the originator of all things, gave us The Scriptures, as our perfect guide, and that People, who were created to worship God have sinned against him, but have been offered Salvation which is rooted in God’s Grace and includes the simultaneous gifts of Regeneration and Justification. These gifts are applied to us by our Repentance and Faith which we will continue to do our entire life through the process of Sanctification and The Perseverance of Believers. God designed us to grow best and accomplish His mission when we are members of The Church through the waters of Baptism and partaking in the Lord’s Supper. Membership in the church encourages us to be faithful in caring for our earthly Families and submitting to the Civil Government, until Christ returns to establish these heavenly realities in the World to Come, which we pray will arrive soon.

For a more detailed explanation of these doctrines that are in bold print above, review our Statement of Faith.

Covenant

By God’s Grace, we have been brought to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and have been baptized upon our profession of faith, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We do now, in dependence upon His Spirit, earnestly and joyfully renew our covenant with each other.

By God’s grace we will:

  1. Work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:3)
  2. Walk together in brotherly love and affectionate care, reproving, rebuking and exhorting one another when necessary. (Matt. 7:1-5; Gal. 6:1; Eph. 4:1-2; 1 Thess. 5:11)
  3. Regularly meet together and pray for ourselves and for others. (Heb. 10:23-25; James 5:16)
  4. Raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, seeking the salvation of our family and friends. (Eph. 6:4; Rom. 10:1)
  5. Rejoice at each other’s happiness, bear each other’s burdens, and sympathize with each other’s sorrows. (Rom. 12:15; Gal. 6:2)
  6. Seek to live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, living a life that is pleasing to God by resisting sin and pursuing holiness. (Rom. 6; 1 Thess. 4:1; Titus 2:12; 1 Pt. 1:14-16)
  7. Work together to defend and maintain a Christ-exalting ministry in this church, as we continue in our worship, administer its ordinances, exercise church discipline, and defend its doctrines. (Mt. 18:15-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 11:26; 2 Tim. 4:2)
  8. Contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations. (2 Cor. 9:7; Gal. 6:10; James 1:27; 1 Jn. 3:17-18)
  9. Unite with a likeminded church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word, when we move from this church.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.  Amen. (2 Cor. 13:14)
