Scripture/Text: Psalm 138; In Psalm 138, David shows us that the more we know how God works, the more we become His workmanship. This psalm reveals that God exalts His name and answers prayer, so we can praise Him wholeheartedly and pray with confidence (vv.1-3). God displays His glory through the weightiness of His word, humbling even kings and calling us to honor His word above all (vv.4-6). And God delivers us through distress and fulfills all His purposes in steadfast love, working with both might and craftsmanship (vv.7-8). Ultimately, Jesus Christ reveals God's way of working most fully through the cross, the resurrection, and His exaltation as King of kings. so that all who repent and believe in Him may be transformed into God's workmanship, created for good works.
