Phill serves as the Pastor of Preaching at Embassy Church, where he oversees the preaching ministry, leads the church staff, pastoral training, and manages daily pastoral duties. Originally from Maryland, Phill and his wife, Christine, moved to Chicago in 2012 to plant Embassy Church being sent from Capitol Hill Baptist Church and Edgewater Baptist Church. Phill is deeply committed to discipleship and equipping the congregation through the Word.

Before planting Embassy, Phill worked on staff with Campus Outreach at George Washington University and participated in a pastoral internship at Capitol Hill Baptist. He holds an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological seminary and a Ph.D. in Theology from MBTS. Phill and Christine have five children and are dedicated to seeing the local church established and strengthened in order to glorify Christ by making disciples of all nations.
